Gordon Brush® will be honored with the 2018 MADE: In America Award at a special ceremony in the Rayburn office Building in Washington, D.C., on July 3, 2018. In addition, Gordon Brush will be the first in the Nation invited to “Tell Your American Story” at a special exhibition hosted by The Office of Trade Promotion at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center in our nation’s capital, from July 7 through the 12th.
After undergoing a rigorous vetting process for best business practices, Gordon Brush was ranked among the top in its industry sector and invited to compete for the award. Gordon Brush is the first and only recipient of the Made: In America award in its industry and one of only three companies nationwide to be recognized in 2018. In order to be considered for the award, each company is required to submit an in-depth case for winning the award that details their best business practices, industry leadership and their commitment to ongoing manufacturing and job creation in the United States.
The award is conferred by MADE: In America, a 501c3 non-profit educational organization based on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The organization’s mission is to revitalize and sustain the competitiveness of American commerce and industry in a global economy. MADE: In America does so through a range of initiatives that bring manufacturing and American products to the forefront of the national conversation.

The Company has made brushes for the United States Army to clean the main gun on the Abram’s tanks, saving the Department of Defense over $1.5 billion. The Company also has made brushes that were used on the space shuttle, the lunar module, and brushes to clean the guidance system and guns on the Apache helicopter.
